After seeing the movie "Fast & The Furious" I started conducting research for "High Performance" products online. Amsoil, of course kept coming up. Now I've been a fan of anything that has to do with cars since early childhood and had NEVER heard of Amsoil before. After reading some forums and reading some literature Amsoil mailed to me I finally thought to myself "I won't know unless I try it!" Not knowing about the cost of a transmission repair I decided to try the Tranny fluid first. I did more research and found it best to remove ALL of the old fluid before installing the new. Therefore I had Jiffy Lube perform their T-Tech service with 14 quarts of Amsoil ATF. I also need to mention that my car (1999 Chevy Lumina) had only 49,000 miles on it and the factory tranny fluid looked brand new. Before entering the bays at the Jiffy Lube, I drove the car around trying different stop and go techniques ie. soft start, soft stop, and hard start, hard stop. I got a good feel on how the tranny shifted by doing this and continued to the Jiffy Lube bays. I watched the service as the employees connected all these tubes and hoses to my car. They tried to sell me some additive to clean while flushing out the old fluid and I remembered Amsoil recommended against that. I said no and please continue by just using the Amsoil. Finally I paid like $90.00 or more for this service and I'm ready to leave. As I softly accelerated out of the bay, I noticed a difference in acceleration. I continued driving the car and conducting those tests I had performed before the service and the car's transmission just performed better. Needless to say I couldn't wait to try the oil and the rest is history. This was in 2002. I became a dealer in 2003 and have ejoyed everything Amsoil has had to offer ever since.
