In 2007, we were involved in sponsoring two individual race cars/drivers including Al D'Antonio, (shown on our Home Page in the winner's circle on 8-11-07 at Orange County Fair Speedway (OCFS); and Gary LaBagh in his 38 Special shown above, also in the winner's circle on 8-11-07 at OCFS. Two feature wins in one night!
We sponsored the Pro Stock class at Accord Speedway for 2007 (see "Links" page).
Our 2009 racing involvement is likely to be slim to none as other expenses and the recent national economic downturn have jumped up and bit us in the derrier as it has for so many of us.
We have two business/personal vehicles, a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500HD 4wd pickup and a 2001 Subaru Forester. Both of these vehicles are fully “Amsoilized”. They get “driven hard and put away wet” to the point of possibly being abused, but it sure beats getting under one of them every month!
(The truck gets its Series 3000 Synthetic 5W-30 Heavy Duty Diesel engine oil changed once every two years. Sometimes I even remember to change the SD-type oil filter at six month intervals - when I change over to the new EaO oil filter, even this nuisance will disappear! This truck has a gasoline engine and is mostly driven in severe short haul, frequent stop service – with occasional freeway trips where I keep the pace, if you know what I mean.)
(The Subaru is used by my wife, so it gets better care - its Signature Series 0W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil is changed at 12-14 month intervals. This oil is rated at 30,000+ miles or one year between changes. At the last annual oil change i October 2008, I also changed over to the new EaO oil filter. Due to the relatively small size of the filter, I still expect to change the filter at 6 months, but this is way better than having to change it at 3 month intervals as I did in the past.)
So what should YOU do? Switch to AMSOIL and follow AMSOIL’s recommendations – do as they say, not necessarily as I do.
